March news continues to being quite a lot albeit not all are good ones...

Publisher Ars Epica closes

Publisher Ars Epica, the first one to edit the Red Box of Aventuras en La Marca del Este, announces with the following communication that ceases its activity and makes available to any interested party its game licenses.

ARS EPICA OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

We regret that for reasons beyond our control and after some unexpected recent events, we must cease the activity and close the company permanently.

It had been more than six years of effort and enthusiasm since we started with Roleage until today, with several product lines up and preparing the second edition of our flagship game.

We are very proud of the achieved goals and regret not being able to continue growing and trying to convey our illusions to all who have trusted in our work, we hope this have been welcomed by all and with the quality expected of products and services we have offered all these years.

This cold shower leaves a bittersweet taste, but from here we want to thank you all for your support and, who knows, maybe our paths cross again in the future.

From this day we offer rights for Roleage, Fenris and Hero Knights to any company interested in pursuing these product lines. You can contact us at comercial@arsepica.com.

To the stores that we usually serve orders we provide the contact with the authors and publishers of books distributed by us (Books like La profecía or Donjon) so they can continue to get the material.

MAR Barker (1929-2012)

On March 16th Professor Muhammad Abd-al-Rahman (MAR) Barker passed away. Creator of the fantastic world of Tékumel which originated Empire of Petal Throne, the second game published by TSR in 1975 after Dungeons & Dragons.
