The Minotaur by George Frederic Watts
As always remember you may find spoilers, so if you are playing the campaign or think about playing it you probably do not want to read more beyond this point (or perhaps you want, who knows).
Puerta de Dragones by A.J. Manzanedo
After a period a little longer than I would have liked it's time to retake the chronicles of this campaign. If you remember, in the previous session our heroes were in front of the great doors decorated with dragons leading to the shelter of the priests of Penumbra dug into the side of a volcano. After defeating the Orcs guard, the dark priest who directed them and have controlled the dark elf (thanks to certain capabilities moon, half-elf ...) which treacherously attack and killed Heldehammer, the assassin PC of David.
So the characters are now ready to enter the fortress and fulfill the mission that the sea god Eru had given them whrn sending them to this uncharted island: regain his father's trident, a gift that Penumbra priests had stolen.
Elfo oscuro by A.J. Manzanedo
Characters are confident they can continue controlling the dark elf using Luna mysterious capabilities so they can avoid guards attacking them later, but ... Once passed the gate the dark elf gets recovered (a hint of a successful saving roll) and gives notice to the orcs in the guardroom who immediately attack them as the elf took refuge in a side chamber.
In the struggle that follows characters are able to free themselves easily from the guards and when preparing to register the side chamber where the dark elf fled he attacks them with a somewhat off target magic missile spell, to which they respond by throwing a bomb into the chamber (yes, in previous sessions they built bombs using the remains of gunpowder weapons aboard the Sombra Rauda), which managed to eliminate the elf Dark.
Barbarian by Frank Kovalchek
After this incident the characters realized that a mysterious figure was watching them from the doorway, a barbarian accompanied by a monkey who told them not to worry because he knew their mission was guided by the gods and he sensed that his mission also also was his... (yes, this obviously is a manner to introduce David's new character).
After the presentations the group of characters continues into the mountain and end up discovering a huge metal gate,a castle-like portcullis preventing their way toward the stone bridge that looks beyond. With a little effort and collaboration between all they managed to maintain it rised enough time so that the group could pass and afterwards keep walking across the bridge, seeing underneath it a chasm with seething magma coming from inside the volcano.
Original minotaur vector by bapabst
As they approach the end of the bridge they discovered goblins who apparently are having fun tormenting a minotaur, which the beast does not seem like very much. Characters decide to attack the goblins getting down to two of them, the rest fled, when the minotaur takes the opportunity to get loose and... (dice roll...) is set to pursue characters that flee terrified across the bridge to the portcullis by which they had passed before, shooting arrows at the beast. Seeing that they can not raise the portcullis in time they decide to throw a flask of oil that soaks the beast and manage to burn it, but the racing minotaur almost collides with Keilor, who is saved by a whisker of being burned climbing on the grill.
After this exciting fight the characters try to catch their breath and consider the options before them, since they are at a crossroads, with another portcullis that prevents them from continuing and a path to their left and another one on the right.
To have more information they decide to use their pets, so the mystic Meler decides to send his rat Tachi to investigate beyond the fence and Kai the samurai her eagle Washi to investigate the tunnel on the left. When the rat returns describes seen "little people" working enslaved and the eagle discloses fences in which are enclosed dangerous Wargs, if we add that from the tunnel on the right are coming noises of a pitched battle it does not seem that the situation is very promising...
What will happen in the next session?
As is customary to say:
To be continued...
