As always remember you may find spoilers, so if you are playing the campaign or think about playing it you probably do not want to read more beyond this point (or perhaps you want, who knows).
To write the chronicle of this session I was helped by Amaia, who acted as assistant chronicler during its development.
This session was special because it was a renewal in terms of the players involved in the campaign due to Real WorldTM events, so Alanna, played until now by Laura, will be played by Sonia and the young cleric Flynn, played by Irene, will be played by by Alex and a new character will appear, Wooster, played by Jordi, who will join the other participants after going into La Isla Misteriosa (Mistery Island) in an introductory session of the world of Aventuras en la Marca del Este.
But well, better to start telling what happened in this session because show must go on...
If you remember what happened in the previous session the characters were inside a library discovered thanks to Alanna's vision after staring into the crystall ball in session 23. After defeating the vermin that were there and take out the mysterious girl from inside the crystal chrysalis they set out to recover from their wounds, so Alanna's healing contact and Flynn's healing spells (remember that they are a paladin and a cleric respectively) were greatly appreciated by their partners.
After the needed healings the group began to plan their next movements, which also affected the girl they had rescued and who was still unconscious, So Alanna tried to Detect Evil on her with somewhat strange results, since although she did not detect an intrinsic evil in her, she seemed to feel something inside that was not correct, which led her to think that maybe some spell was active...
Because they hadn't decided what to do yet they concluded it was best to rest and regain strength, so Belacqua took time to have a look at the books in the library, which led her to find a pair of real gems: a spell book (which surely will be advantageous when levelling up) and a wisdom manual (ideal for getting acculturated and promote mental development).

While this lucky discovery was taking place appeared Wooster, the new character joining the campaign, who had reached the complex through the mysterious blue light fountain in the same way as other characters in previous sessions, and who after wandering through tunnels an caves reached the antechamber of teh library (what a coincidence) and found himself face-to-face with its guardian, the manticore, who proposed a riddle promising to let him pass if he found the right answer (and no, it wasn't the same riddle of the previous session, didn't you think manticores can know more than one?). However this time the playing character didn't know what to answer and the monster quickly attacked, luckily for him the other characters had established guard shifts and Luna and Belacqua soon came to aid him while Hassba awakened his partners. The magician didn't linger too much and after casting a Group Protection against Evil she materialized a flame projectile casting Flaming Sphere while Flynn was Chanting to Valion's glory and Hassba was shooting arrows at the beast with his crossbow so that Luna could finally give him the coup de grace.
After this brief but intense encounter the characters were interested in the newcomer and while Flynn was healing his injuries using his spells Wooster explained them how he get there through a light vortex appearing in a certain place of the Mysterious Island and his encounter with a certain Dark Elf and how he chased him through a vortex until appearing through the blue light fountain they already knew from previous sessions.
Once the introductions were made and after a sudden passion for reading (all the characters wanted to read the wisdom manual and they got their roll to increase their Wisdom in +2) the group focus shifted again to the mysterious girl, still unconscious and from which they still knew nothing, so Flynn, after not being able to find out anything using his arcane knowledge, decided to carry out a physical examination of the girl, which allowed him to find out that something was happening inside her body, but neither him, Alanna, Hassba or Belacqua got to know more about what was happening.
After having rested the group decided to carry on and after collecting their belongings and everything they considered useful (for instance Wooster cut the manticore's tail to take it with him) and they returned to the portal in the shape of a demonic head in which they had discovered the initials TG (remember that they deduced that they corresponded to Lieutenant Gascón as Luna had remembered) and they descended by stairs carved in the rock in which a trail of bloody footprints was visible finally reaching a new unexplored level and finding the corpses of two orcs and a cleric, surely killed by Gascón (and of course searched them seeking for useful things, like gold coins or healing potions), finding also a mysterious note:
"Everything must be ready for departure.
The time of consumption is near."

After this discovery they went on their way reading the map they have obtained in session 23, until they came face-to-face with a gnoll patrol to which they faced with all their strengths and abilities to avoid them giving the alarm, although Wooster could not help losing his sword due to a fumble (you know, you can not always win), so Hassba had to throw his bastard sword at him and the warrior caught it in flight to keep fighting.
Finally only 2 gnolls survived and being outnumbered decided to flee and were chased by Alanna and Belacqua, quickly finishing them. It was at that time that Alanna realized they had stopped just in front of a rather suspicious cave and when she tried to Detect Evil the skeletons of the ossuary inside began to move towards them with threatening intentions that Alanna, as a paladin, cut to the ground by using his ability to Expel the Living Dead to turn them into bone dust.

Exploring a little further Alanna found another cave which turned out to be a crypt in which the tombstones and the niches in the walls abounded and the relentlessly skeletons also were eager to deal with the intruders, but again Alanna took care of them without any difficulty, and next to it another cave part of the same funeral compound wiht other tombs and also its zombies complement wich Alanna destroyed with help form Flynn using the Expel once more.
Once the caves were cleaned of the ungodly presence of the undead, the group did not hesitate to search for anything that could be useful or interesting (and make no mistake, look for treasure to get experience points), which allowed Alanna to discover a magic sword under the tombstone of a knight paladin, sure she could make good use of it...
What will happen in the next session?
As is customary to say:
